The School of Medical Sciences has three student advisors who can be contacted in various ways. If you have a brief question you can visit during walk-in hours, Mondays to Thursdays between 11:00 and 12:30, or send an e-mail.
VUmc students of Medicine can also make an individual appointment with a student advisors. VUmc Master’s students are welcome to visit on Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday at the end of the day by making an online appointment.
The student advisors can provide information and advice on:
- Personal circumstances
- Binding Recommendation on Continuation of Studies
- Career guidance, doubts about choice of study, stopping or changing to another programme
- Falling behind
- Top performers
- Exemptions granted by the Examination Board
- Extra time for Exams
All interviews between the student and the student advisors are confidential. The student advisors have access to a confidential archive that cannot be accessed by anyone else. Confidential information from the student’s personal file is only provided to third parties with the student’s express prior permission.

The student advisors will not make appointments themselves and they are not available by telephone.
